Auctioneers Notes: It’s hard to mention Enid or The Cherokee Strip without bringing up Larry Simpson and his family. Larry very generously dedicated much of his time to preserving the history of the area. He was also part owner in Simpson’s Old Time Museum and Skeleton Creek Productions Movie Studio, an eccentric downtown tourist attraction. There was never a city parade or benefit he wasn’t supporting or leading. During the late 60s and early 70s, the Simpsons donated land behind their homes for a premier baseball camp. Many local kids share found memories of attending those camps. Larry was very proud to be an integral part of Enid and its history.
