Email from CAMA: the minimum ocean hazard setback in Surf City is 60', as measured from the First Line of Stable Natural Vegetation (FLSNV), and based on the current location of the FLSNV, the 60' setback crosses N. Shore Drive. With that said, no building or other structure could be permitted (CAMA permit) on 1208 and 12010 N Shore Drive, except for the development activities described below (exceptions to the setback). Keep in mind these exceptions are what is permissible within the setback, but there may be other constraints that prohibit that activity's construction.
