This hunting land sits on the west side of Upton County approximately 5 miles north of McCamey, Texas on the east side of Highway 385 which leads to Crane. The hunting ranch sits approximately 45 miles from Midland Odessa where you will find Midland-Odessa International Air and Space Port, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The ranch also sits approximately 25 miles east of Imperial, Texas, 20 miles west of Rankin, and about 45 miles northeast of Fort Stockton.
This ranch is full of whitetail, mule deer, blue quail, dove, varmints, and migratory birds. The improvements include a barndominium hunting cabin with a stained concrete floor and a large, covered patio. The barndominium is equipped for rainwater catchment and use of a generator for electricity. The hunting cabin has a separate bathroom from the cabin which is constructed of cinder block. There is a large concrete reservoir with a water trough that is fed from the reservoir near the center of the ranch. The owner currently hauls water to the reservoir for wildlife. The ranch is fenced with net wire with good to great fences. The east fence is fairly new and in great shape. Other fences are older but still in good shape.
Up on top of the hills, the rimrock has many fossils and caves to explore. From up top, the beautiful west Texas views can be enjoyed for many miles in all directions. This ranch has loamy soils that drain well and consist of Lozier gravelly loam on top and Reagan loam in other areas. These soils can be used safely for grazing or woodland or wildlife food.
