Bo Burkes is originally from Philadelphia, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2002 with a BBA in Real Estate and Mortgage Finance. When the terrorist attack happened on September 11, 2001, Bo’s senior year in college, Bo felt the call to serve his country. So in 2003, Bo joined the Mississippi Army National Guard as a Warrant Officer. He proudly served 8 years as an Apache helicopter and C-12 King Air pilot in the service. Bo served one tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as an Apache helicopter pilot. He earned many personal awards during his time in the military and was honorably discharged in June 2012.
