Cherokee Whitetails

Enjoyment meets conservation. Cherokee Whitetails is an unrestricted 286+/-ac high-fenced ranch that has been selectively hunted, MLD managed, and generally improved. Currently set up with 9 feeder/blind combos, a few feeders also have bow stands. With over 8 miles of ATV trails including a full perimeter road, access across the ranch is seamless, taking you past acres of pristine, untouched grasslands. Water: 2 wells feed 3 concrete troughs, 2 ponds hold rainwater (one could be filled from the well), there are 2 more good locations for future ponds. Wildlife: Selective hunting for the last 17 years has dramatically increased the quality of the herd, breeder deer were brought in to supplement natural genetics. Ranch boasts young 8-10 point bucks, with mature bucks scoring 200+ B&C scores. Never commercially hunted, only friends & family. Other game includes: hogs, turkey, dove, foxes, coyotes, armadillo, and badger. Nearby: Llano and San Saba are both 15-20 minutes on Highway 16. Both cities have groceries, restaurants, gas, feed stores, and a Tractor Supply. Llano is known for having great events year-round and San Saba offers natural springs swimming pools. Summary: A turn-key hunter's haven for white-tail deer, in an area known as the "Whitetail capital of the World". The area is rich in history and abundant in life. Just bring your pillow, deer rifle, and buggy.
