Comprising approximately 892 +/- acres, the Johnson Ranch offers a scenic recreation property that features badlands-like formations with cedars and brush sparsely dispersed along its crests. The numerous steep ridges provide excellent vantage points that overlook the White River and distant topography! The property’s terrain provides both challenging and rewarding experiences for various recreations. Land Located in GMU 10, widely known as one of Colorado’s premier trophy units, and positioned a mere 1.5 miles from the Utah border, the ranch boasts over half a mile of the White River flowing through its northeast corner. Additionally, there is just over a mile of Dripping Rock Creek winding through the northern perimeter of the property. Contrary to the crests among the ranch, the banks of Dripping Rock Creek and White River within the property are lined with thick brush with the presence of a few trees scattered throughout. With its proximity to the Utah border, White River, and hundreds of thousands of acres of BLM, there are exceptional leisure’s that extend beyond the perimeters of the Johnson Ranch! The Dinosaur National Monument, spanning over 210,000 acres between Colorado and Utah, is a historical site renowned for its fossil discoveries and scenic beauty, providing a unique destination for exploration and learning. Apart from flowing through the ranch, the White River also provides fishing and rafting opportunities, as well as the Green River which is approximately 1 hour northwest of the property. Furthermore, there are extensive trails throughout the BLM within the vicinity that offer opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, off-road vehicle adventures, and general exploration. Location   The ranch is located just under 30 minutes from Rangely which offers various shops such as a grocery store, hardware store,  convenient stores with gas stations, and many restaurants. Rangely also has a district hospital. Located within close proximity to the Utah border, Vernal is also less than 1 hour from the ranch, providing a much bigger variety of stores and amenities. Meeker and Craig  are both an approximate 1 hour and 30 minutes from the ranch as well. Yampa Valley Regional Airport and Grand Junction Regional Airport offer commercial flight services and are both located roughly 2 hours away.
