Region & Climate From Weatherspark: In Grants, the summers are warm and dry; the winters are cold, snowy, and windy; and it is mostly clear year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 17°F to 88°F and is rarely below 4°F or above 94°F.  The hot season lasts for 3.5 months, from May 26 to September 12, with an average daily high temperature above 79°F.  The hottest month of the year in Grants is July, with an average high of 86°F and low of 56°F.  The cold season lasts for 3.1 months, from November 21 to February 24, with an average daily high temperature below 53°F. The coldest month of the year in Grants is January, with an average low of 17°F and high of 46°F. Recreation-wise, the Grants area has a variety of outdoor activities available including the nearby Bluewater and Ramah lakes, El Malpais National Monument, Ice Caves and Mount Taylor, an extinct stratovolcano.   Location The Albuquerque International Sunport is an easy 90 minute drive down the interstate and offers a large number of flights on all major airlines.
