Cathedral Peak Forest Access is nearly 41 acres located within the Cathedral Peak Ranch subdivision. Within Cathedral Peak Ranch, property owners share hunting privileges with other property owners. Property owners are allowed to hunt on other property owners lots as long as they don't trespass within a 5 acre building envelope. This gives owners hunting access to +/- 4500 acres of private land which is off limits to the general public. Land This lot is located near the top of Cathedral Peak Ranch in the NE portion of the ranch.  Lot number 72 has several level spots to build a future cabin or home.  Property owners are allowed to camp on their properties, so bring your camper and enjoy cool summer nights.  This lot is off grid, and there are no electric lines nearby.  Vegetation on this lot consists of Gambel Oak and Mountain Mahogany.  It’s location near the general parking area for Forest Service Access makes this lot ideal for recreationalists.  There, you will find a nice walking trail that leads to Aspen groves, small ponds, and reservoirs on the Gunnison National Forest.  This portion of the Gunnison National Forest is not easily accessible to the public, giving it privacy from the outside world. Recreation Cathedral Peak Ranch is located in game management unit 63, which offers over the counter bull elk tags during Archery, 2nd, and 3rd rifle seasons.  Having access to +/- 4500 Private acres of land for hunting and an additional 1.6 million acres of public land, makes this lot the ideal base camp.  Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and ATV riding are allowed on ranch roads within the ranch.  Previously mentioned private forest access, is the cherry on top as they say!  Please be aware that ranch roads are maintained during the summer months, but near the top of the ranch, roads are not plowed in the winter.  So, if you’d like to access this property in the winter you will need a good plow truck or a tracked vehicle.
