The rolling hills of sagebrush and bunch grasses, along with irrigated pasture or hay ground, make for wonderful grazing and wildlife terrain. The ranch is 25± minutes east of Baker City, Oregon, and features a 2,821± square foot three-bedroom/three-bath home in the Clover Creek Valley with shade trees covering the expansive lawn. The 1,577± square foot guest home sits next to the creek and offers an updated two-bed/two-bath, tranquil home away from home. The ranch acreage totals 1,777.95± deeded acres and another 1,061± acres of grazing leases right out the gate. The views are inspiring, with the Eagle Cap Wilderness creating the backdrop to the north and the Whitman National Forest 3.5 miles from the headquarters, bordering the north border of the ranch. Though this is a working ranch, when the work ends, the recreation can begin. The ranch supports impressive shooting action with quail scattered throughout the drainage of Cottonwood Creek and the many acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land. The ranch and the surrounding area support mule deer, antelope, and elk that migrate out of the high country and end up in the sagebrush steeps and drainages on the ranch. There are also several predators and many more small game species that inhabit the area.
